๐๐๐ข๐๐ “There’s A Land That I Heard Of” โ๏ธI had the opportunity to stay in this hotel near the United Nations when I travel to New York ๐ I couldn’t help but look out the window I notice of you and the first thing I thought about was my grandmother who was raised and worked in a ๐จ๐บpoor country most of her life. Like many poor people in Third World countries she had a poor relationship with money and a loyal attitude towards religion ๐My grandmother worked in pre-Fidel Castro Cuba and during that time when women of color ๐ฉ๐พ๐ฉ๐ฝ๐ฉ๐ฟcould not find employment and any other profession outside of domestic duties. During this time she worked in 44 houses๐ for the rich ๐ต people in Cuba.๐จ๐บ My grandmother never was able to even imagine this kind of you outside of the postcard although she worked more in her lifetime than most people do in 10 lifetimes. One of the things that my grandmother liked was to look at the lights in traffic something about watching ๐กlights from cars๐จ made her happy, ๐ปalso the lights of tall buildings. Something about technology progress and people going somewhere. โ๏ธ My grandmother would’ve been 91 October 5 but she passed away four years ago now The richness that she was not able to provide financially๐ต she was able to provide with her work ethic and manners. โ
